Tāne Print

Celebrate the life-giving presence of Tāne, the Māori god of forests and birds, with this beautiful print. Tāne embodies growth, creation, and the nurturing spirit of nature, representing the balance and harmony found within the forest.

His Story: Tāne, one of the children of Ranginui (Sky Father) and Papatūānuku (Earth Mother), played a pivotal role in separating his parents to bring light into the world. Through this act, Tāne allowed life to flourish on earth. He went on to fill the forests with plants, trees, and birds, creating the beautiful natural world we know today. Tāne is also credited with forming the first woman, Hine-ahuone, from the earth, bringing the human race into being. His story reminds us of the importance of nature, growth, and the sacred connection between humans and the environment.
